Open Evening – Thank You

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope this letter finds you well. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the pupils who supported our Open Evening on Thursday, 2nd October. It was nothing short of remarkable to witness over 200 pupils remain behind to assist and contribute to the overall success of the evening. Their enthusiasm was truly evident and is a testament to the exceptional spirit of our school community.

As you are aware, our Open Evening serves as a significant occasion for both current and prospective families, providing insight into the enriched learning environment we offer at Leigh Academy Strood. The dedication displayed by our students to represent our school confidently and warmly is commendable. It is moments like these that remind us of the pride we feel in our school community and the role our pupils play as ambassadors at Leigh Academy Strood.

Not only did our pupils showcase their talents and commitment, but they also played a vital role in making newcomers feel welcome and supported. Engaging with Year 6 students who are understandably apprehensive about transitioning to secondary education is not only admirable but also reflects the maturity and kindness of our pupils. We have genuinely shaped a nurturing atmosphere that fosters learning and growth.

Furthermore, I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff members who worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure the success of the evening. Their commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for our pupils exemplifies what Leigh Academy Strood stands for. Special commendation is also due to Gracie (Year 9) and Madison (Year 7), who delivered exceptional speeches in the Main Hall. Their articulate presentation in front of hundreds of parents and prospective pupils highlighted the incredible talent that resides within our student body.

Thank you once again for your continued interest and involvement in our school community. We look forward to seeing you at future events and continuing this journey together.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Jon Richardson | Principal
