Year 9 Reports Letter

Dear Parents & Carers,

Today you will have received your child’s Module 4 interim report on the MCAS platform. The report includes:

  • A Target Grade for each subject
  • Attendance percentage
  • The criteria grades for each subject
  • An interim MYP Grade based upon your child’s in-class assessments throughout this module
  • An Attitude to Learning (AtL) grade.

Attendance

An attendance figure is included in this report in order to raise awareness of the strong correlation between high attendance and excellent academic outcomes. We are acutely aware that a figure of 90% or below will likely result in a student achieving at least 1 grade below their target grade and so excellent attendance is paramount to a successful report.

MYP assessment

The IB MYP is assessed using a range of criteria (A, B, C & D) in each subject area, graded from 1-8 (8 being the highest awarded). These criteria grades are then used to determine an overall MYP Grade ranging from 1-7 (7 being the highest awarded). This final report of the year will indicate the progress your child is making in each criteria for each subject.
