The Digital Bridge

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are pleased to introduce The Digital Bridge, a new series of short sessions designed to help parents and carers understand the digital tools students use to support their learning. These sessions will provide practical guidance on how families can support learning at home.

We would like to invite you to attend our first session which is focused on Google Classroom, the online platform students use to access learning and homework at Leigh Academy Strood.

Google Classroom plays an important role in supporting students’ learning both in school and at home. This session will provide parents and carers with an opportunity to understand how the platform works and how it helps students stay organised and engaged with their learning.

During this 30-minute session, we will cover:

  • What Google Classroom is and why we use it in school
  • How students access resources, homework and feedback
  • How parents can check homework and support learning at home
  • How Google Classroom helps students stay organised and independent

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and see examples of how students use the platform.

Date: Monday 27th April
