Academy Earns Wellbeing Award for Schools

Dear Parent and Carers,

We are delighted to share that following an intensive evidenced based process, Leigh Academy Strood has officially been granted the Wellbeing Award for Schools. This achievement recognises our commitment to putting the mental health and wellbeing of our entire school community at the forefront of everything we do.

During the final assessment, the external verifier noted:

“Evidence provided at the verification visit was comprehensive and clearly demonstrated that Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health (EWMH) is a main priority at Leigh Academy Strood. I am delighted to recommend that the school be awarded the Wellbeing Award for Schools.”

Our Principal, Jon Richardson, shared his pride in this accreditation: “As part of the assessment day, the verifier spoke with staff, students, parents, and carers to discuss the ongoing impact to support our pupils. This feedback reinforces the rigorous strategy in place, where we continue to strive to remove all barriers to learning to maximise every child’s potential. Achieving this award is a reflection upon Vision 2028 and our core foundations.”

Thank you for your continued support as we celebrate this milestone together.
