Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted to invite you to our Welcome to GCSE Information Evening for Year 10 families, which will take place on Wednesday 24th September at 4:00pm in the main assembly hall. This evening marks an important point in your child’s education as they begin their Key Stage 4 journey and prepare for the challenges and opportunities of GCSE study.
During the evening you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet the Key Stage 4 team who will be working closely with your child over the next two years.
- Gain an insight into what Year 10 will look like and the expectations we have for students as they begin their GCSE/Vocational courses.
- Explore the wider KS4 journey, including how learning, enrichment, and support come together to ensure every student achieves their potential.
- Receive guidance on how you, as parents and carers, can best support your child through the demands of GCSE/Vocational study both at home and in partnership with the school.
We know that the transition into GCSEs can feel both exciting and daunting. This evening will provide clarity and reassurance about the road ahead, as well as a chance to ask questions and meet the staff who will be central to your child’s success.
