RE: Exciting Cooking Practical for Leigh Academy Strood KS3 Students
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. As we approach Module 2 of the new academic year at Leigh Academy Strood , we are thrilled to continue with our wonderful opportunity for our students to develop their culinary skills and explore cooking. To make this endeavor possible, we kindly request a nominal fee of £7 per student in Key Stage 3 (year 7,8,9).
At Leigh Academy Strood, we believe in providing a well-rounded education that extends beyond academic excellence. We recognise the importance of nurturing essential life skills in our students, and cooking is undoubtedly one such skill that fosters independence, creativity, and a healthy lifestyle.
The cooking classes will cover a wide range of culinary topics, including basic cooking techniques, meal planning, nutrition, and the preparation of various dishes. Our aim is to equip our students with the knowledge and confidence to prepare their own meals, make healthier food choices, and appreciate the value of home-cooked food.
Your contribution of £7 will go towards purchasing high-quality ingredients, which is important to allow students to experience our Food curriculum. We believe that this investment will have a long-lasting impact on your child’s life, providing them with valuable skills that they can carry with them well into adulthood.
To ensure a successful implementation of these cooking classes, we kindly request that you submit the £7 fee via ParentPay no later than Friday 31st October 2025.
