Dear Parents and Carers,
Our Parent Voice Forum is a platform created to build a strong and open partnership between parents, careers and the school. Your insights are invaluable as we work together to shape an enriching educational experience for all students.
After carefully considering the feedback from last year’s Module 6, we’ve created a more focused approach for the forum this year. We will invite leaders from across the academy to present and answer any questions you may have.
Here are the dates for this year’s forums, all of which will run from 18:00 to 19:00:
- Module 1: Tuesday, 14th October 2025 – Homework and Attendance
- Module 2: Tuesday, 16th December 2025 – Inclusion
- Module 3: Tuesday, 10th February 2026 – Behaviour and Communication
- Module 4: Tuesday, 31st March 2026 – Teaching and Learning and MYP
- Module 5: Tuesday, 19th May 2026 – Rewards / Enrichment / Strood in the Community
- Module 6: Tuesday, 14th July 2026 – Full Review
What to expect from this forum?
In this module 1 forum you can expect to hear Leigh Academy Strood attendance data and comparisons to historical and national averages. We will explain current strategies being implemented across the academy to improve our attendance data including reporting and rewards.
We have relaunched our homework system to achieve a better balance between quality and quantity. We believe that the new model will best suit our students. We will present the new system and structure of homework.
Your active participation is crucial to the development of Leigh Academy Strood, and we encourage you to bring your ideas and questions. By working together, we can make a positive impact on our school community.
